Back to topOverview
Back to topProduct Feed for Google Shopping generates RSS/XML catalog feeds from Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce. Generate from the admin, CLI or Magento cron, with configurable product filters and attribute mappings. It is a backend export and does not change your storefront checkout.
Version 1.1.0 improves multi-store reliability
Each store publishes to its own directory. Generation is locked per output and uses a unique temporary file before publishing a completed feed. Main and local outputs maintain separate item-count baselines. Prices convert from base currency to the store's configured default display currency using Magento exchange rates. Missing rates stop generation and preserve the previous file. Category labels and ID-source settings follow the selected store view.
Upgrade action required
Feed URLs now use feed/store_{numeric_store_id}/{filename} under the configured media base URL. Generate and inspect the new output, then update each external source URL. Old shared files are not refreshed or deleted automatically. The first successful run at each new path establishes a new drop-protection baseline. The Installation Guide includes the migration checklist.
Features
• Enabled simple, virtual and downloadable products, with optional stock, visibility and positive-price filters.
• SKU or entity ID as the product identifier; attribute mappings for brand, GTIN, MPN and Google category.
• Tax-basis selection, store currency conversion and sale prices only when positive and below regular price.
• Batched generation, deterministic ordering, XML escaping and per-output locking.
• Drop protection preserves the previous feed when counts fall beyond the configured threshold. Email alerts require a configured recipient and working email transport.
• An optional second XML output adds a configured store_code to the same catalog items.
Scope and requirements
Configurable, grouped and bundle parent products are not exported. GTIN values are exported as supplied, without checksum validation. The local output does not calculate physical-location quantities or synchronize inventory sources. The module does not upload through a Google API; configure your Merchant Center source to fetch the public XML URL and review its diagnostics. Feed generation alone does not guarantee Google approval.
Accounts and services
A Google Merchant Center account is needed to use the feed with Google. Google account configuration and any advertising charges are separate. License activation and periodic validation contact Etechflow's licensing service using the store domain and license key. Contact support@etechflow.com with your Marketplace purchase reference for activation assistance; do not purchase a duplicate license for the same entitlement.
Installation and support
Generation and cron ship disabled. Follow the included User Guide, Installation Guide and Reference Manual to activate, configure each store and verify a sample before scheduling. Use a PHP version compatible with your Magento release and the package requirements (minimum 8.1). Release checks were performed on Magento 2.4.9 / PHP 8.4.6.
