Image Optimizer

eTechFlow Image Optimizer converts your Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce catalog, category and CMS images to modern WebP entirely on your own server — no external API, no per-image fees and no rate limits. Each product image is served through an HTML <picture> element with a WebP source and the original JPEG or PNG as a fallback, so WebP-capable browsers download the smaller file while every other browser still works exactly as before. You can optimize new images on the fly the first time they are displayed, on a nightly cron, or in bulk from the command line, and review every conversion — source, size before and after, savings percentage and engine — in a full admin Optimization Log with one-click restore. It is compatible with both Hyva and Luma themes and ships disabled by default, so nothing on your storefront changes until you switch it on and choose what to optimize.

Conversion runs through a cwebp → Imagick → GD engine chain (the first available wins), so it works on almost any host with no configuration. Because everything happens locally there is no third-party service to sign up for, no keys to manage and no ongoing per-image cost — you convert your entire catalogue once and keep the savings. Lighter images mean faster page loads and a better Largest Contentful Paint, which helps both conversions and SEO.
