Canonical & Hreflang

Canonical & Hreflang is an extension for Magento Open Source and Adobe Commerce that gives your store clean, authoritative canonical URLs and correct hreflang tags, so search engines index the right page and serve the right store view to each locale.

A store often exposes the same content under many URLs — a product reachable through several category paths, category pages with filter and sort parameters, pagination, and tracking-parameter variants. Without a clean canonical, Google splits ranking signals across all of them. This extension emits one authoritative canonical per page and, for multi-store catalogues, hreflang links that point each locale's customers to the right store view. A single frontend plugin adds the tags to the page head through the platform's PageConfig layer, so they render on any theme with no template changes.

Configuration

All settings live under Stores → Configuration → Etechflow → Canonical & Hreflang: a master enable switch, the canonical toggles (page types, query stripping, pagination mode), and the hreflang options (enable, x-default store, and per-store overrides).
