Features
- Gift cards can be created by both the site administrator and through the purchase of a special product type (Gift Card)
- When purchasing a gift card product, users can choose an amount from predefined amounts or specify their own amount
- Gift cards can be applied at the cart page and during the checkout process
- Two types of gift cards are available: virtual and physical
- Details of virtual gift cards can be sent to the recipient via email, and they can also be automatically sent on a specified date
- Recipients of virtual gift cards receive a reminder email a few days before the gift cards expire
Types of Gift Cards
The Gift Card Extension for Magento 2 adds functionality that allows you to create two types of gift cards: virtual and physical.
Virtual gift card details can be sent to recipients via email, and can also be automatically sent on a specified date (using the Delivery Date attribute). Recipients will also receive a warning email a few days before the gift card expires.
New Product Type (Gift Card)
The Gift Card Extension for Magento 2 introduces a new product type (Gift Card). Upon purchasing this product, a gift card is generated. With special attributes of this product type, you can specify the type of gift card being created and its expiration date. Customers can choose the amount of the gift card from predefined amounts set by the administrator or enter their own amount within an allowed range. For virtual gift cards, there is a very useful Delivery Date option.
Applying Gift Cards
Customers can apply gift cards on both the cart page and the checkout page.
