    Please Note: Magento 2 Checkout Address Validation using UPS REST API is an independent extension developed by EcomPlugins. It is not created, endorsed, or supported by UPS. This downloadable Magento 2 extension integrates your store with the official UPS Address Validation REST API to verify customer shipping addresses in real time, helping reduce delivery failures and improve checkout accuracy.

    This extension is part of our complete Magento Address Validation solution and works seamlessly with our Magento 2 UPS Shipping REST API extension to provide a complete UPS shipping experience for Magento 2 and Adobe Commerce.

    During checkout, the extension automatically sends the customer's complete shipping address—including street address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, and country—to the official UPS Address Validation REST API. UPS validates the address against its database and returns standardized or suggested addresses whenever possible.

    Customers can simply select the validated address before proceeding to shipping methods, reducing shipping errors, returned packages, and carrier address correction charges. If UPS cannot validate the address, merchants can allow customers to continue using the original address based on their preferred configuration.

    The extension also validates addresses when customers create or edit addresses in their Magento Address Book, helping maintain clean customer records across your entire store.

    Important: The UPS Address Validation API must be enabled for your UPS Developer account before this extension can be used. If your account does not currently have access, contact UPS Support to request activation. This extension supports the latest UPS REST API with secure OAuth 2.0 authentication.

    UPS Account & Pricing

    To use this extension, create a UPS Developer account and generate your REST API credentials. Enter your Client ID and Client Secret in the Magento Admin configuration to enable secure communication with UPS.

    UPS Developer API access is available at no additional cost for eligible UPS accounts. Standard UPS shipping charges continue to apply according to your negotiated shipping rates.
