Estes Shipping Rest API Freight Extension

The Magento 2 Estes Freight Shipping Carrier extension calculates Estes freight shipping rates in real time by connecting your Magento 2 store with the Estes API. Freight rates are displayed dynamically on the shopping cart and checkout pages based on your warehouse location, customer destination, shipment weight, and other applicable shipping parameters.

The extension brings Estes freight rating capabilities directly into Magento 2, helping merchants automate freight rate calculations while providing customers with accurate shipping options during checkout. Important: This extension provides the Magento 2 integration for the Estes API. An active Estes account and valid API credentials are required to retrieve live freight rates. You can visit the Estes website for account and API access information.

Store administrators can configure freight options such as residential delivery, liftgate service, and delivery notification. The extension can also apply shipping price markup and use product-level shipping information and additional weight when calculating Estes freight rates.

Account & Pricing:

You need to sign up for a free Estes Carrier account to use this extension. After signing up, you will receive the username and password required for API access. These API credentials need to be configured in the Estes shipping module settings in the Magento 2 admin panel.

Admin Features:

• Enable or disable the Estes shipping method from the Magento 2 admin panel.
• Connect Magento 2 with the Estes Freight API to retrieve real-time shipping rates.
• Configure Estes API credentials and account information from the admin panel.
• Enable or disable residential delivery options.
• Enable or disable liftgate service.
• Enable or disable delivery notification options.
• Calculate freight rates based on residential or commercial delivery addresses.
• Use product-level shipping information and additional weight when calculating freight rates.
• Add an additional markup amount to the calculated shipping cost.
• Display Estes freight shipping rates on the shopping cart and checkout pages.
• Configure a custom error message if the Estes API is unable to return shipping rates.

How It Works:

1. The customer adds eligible products to the Magento 2 shopping cart.
2. Magento sends the required shipment information to the Estes API.
3. The Estes API calculates available freight shipping rates.
4. The extension receives the rate response and displays the applicable Estes shipping option to the customer.
5. The customer can select the Estes freight shipping method and complete checkout.

Configuration:

To use the extension, you must have an Estes account and the required API credentials. After creating your Estes account, obtain the required API access credentials and configure them in the Magento 2 admin panel.

Enter the required credentials and account information in the Magento Admin > Stores > Configuration > Sales > Delivery Methods section. You can then configure the available Estes shipping options, markup, address type settings, and other extension features.
