EchoTrak Freight Carrier is a leading provider of technology-enabled business process outsourcing, serving the transportation and logistics needs of our clients. Echo began in 2005 with one objective—to simplify transportation management. From coast to coast, dock to dock, and across all major transportation modes, Echo Global Logistics connects businesses that need to ship their products with carriers who transport goods quickly, securely, and cost-effectively.
This module will calculate Echo carrier shipping rates by calling API. Shipping rates will be displayed at checkout and shopping cart page. Rates will be based on the merchant warehouse and customer destination address. You should check all screenshots to understanding the flow of the module.
Echo provides shipping rates from multiple carriers like RL, Estes, etc. So you don't need to enroll in other carrier services. Your customers will get the cheapest rates automatically. The admin will have the ability to select multiple shipping options to enable and disable. For example, Standard services, Guaranteed Services etc. Admin can enable and disable liftgate service, inside delivery options. Admin can also quote based on address type if Residential or Commercial. Admin can add markup price with shipping quotes.
Admin have setting to get either cheapest rate or quickest delivery carrier. There is setting to set both, so automatically quickest delivery and cheapest method will show to customer. Admin have option tot show multiple carrier, So customer can select according to own choice. Admin have option to show estimated delivery date with each rates.
This plugin will use EchoTrak Rest API.
Account & Pricing
You need to manually signup for a free Echo Global Logistics Carrier account to use this extension. After signup, they have to contact to echo support and fill API key request form. Echo support will approve it and provide API keys. API keys will include username, password, API key and account number. These keys you have to update in the shipping module setting in the admin panel.
Echo API calling will be free. You have to pay only for shipment which you will create for customers to ship any package to their address.
Admin Features:
- You can show multiple shipping methods or can show a single lowest rate method.
- You can enable and disable liftgate service, notify delivery and residential options.
- You can add extra price in shipping costs based on the order total.
- You can set the minimum weight to show carrier rates.
- You can set the product level shipping class.
- You can set to show quickest delivery or cheapest option to customer.
- Same API requests will be cached to avoid API calls.
- You can show custom error messages to a customer if echo shipping not able to calculate shipping rates.
