Store administrators can conveniently manage all submitted questions from a dedicated admin panel, respond to them, and send professional email replies to customers.

The extension comes with fully configurable email notifications, ensuring that both administrators and customers are kept informed at every step. Customers receive confirmation when they submit a question and an email reply once their query is answered. Administrators are notified instantly whenever a new question arrives.

Configuration

  • Enable the Module:
    • Go to Stores → Configuration → Ecommet Extensions → Product Questions
    • Set Enable Module to Yes
  • Email Notifications:
    • Admin Email Address: Enter the email ID to receive notifications when a new question is submitted. 
    • Email Templates: Configure the email templates for:
      • Customer submission confirmation
      • Customer reply notification
      • Admin new question notification
  • Email Templates Customization (Optional):
    • Go to Marketing → Communications → Email Templates
    • Customize templates using variables like customer name, product name, question, and answer.

Usage Workflow

  • The customer clicks the “Ask a Question” button on the product page.
  • Fills form with Name, Email, Question, optional Phone Number.
  • Admin receives notification email.
  • Admin responds via admin panel.
  • Customer gets answer email.
