Customer KYC Document Upload

The Customer KYC Document Upload module allows merchants to collect and verify customer identity documents during the checkout process. Customers can upload an ID document (such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, or Driving License), along with its type and ID number, directly in a dedicated checkout step. This information is securely stored with the order and made available to administrators through the admin panel. The module supports REST and GraphQL APIs for programmatic access, making it suitable for headless and omnichannel implementations.

Configuration

No special configuration is required apart from ensuring the module is enabled. The module will automatically add the ID document upload step in the checkout flow.

Usage

• Customers will see a new checkout step titled Document Upload where they can:
  • Select the document type (Aadhaar, PAN, Driving License)
  • Enter the document number
  • Upload a scanned copy (PDF/JPG/PNG)
     
• Once an order is placed:
  • The uploaded document, type, and number are saved in order details
  • Admin users can view and download the document from:
    • The order grid (download link shown)
    • The order view page (details shown in a separate section)

Security

• All uploads are validated and stored in secure locations
• The module respects file permission standards
• Only authenticated admin users can view or download documents
