Customer Group Payment Restriction

This extension allows merchants to control which payment methods are available to different customer groups. It ensures customers only see the payment methods relevant to their group during checkout, creating a tailored shopping experience. Whether you run a B2B store, wholesale model, or have segmented customer types (like retail, premium, or corporate clients), this module helps simplify and secure your payment workflows.

Once installed, the admin can configure excluded payment methods for each customer group directly from the backend. The selected methods are automatically hidden for customers in that group across frontend checkout, admin order creation, GraphQL, and REST API interactions.

This is particularly useful for:

• B2B stores that offer bank transfer or credit terms to wholesalers, but not to regular customers
• Regional stores offering different payment options to local vs international customers
• Subscription-based stores offering auto-renewal to VIPs only

Configuration:

1. Go to Customers > Customer Groups in Admin Panel
2. Click Edit on any customer group (e.g., General, Wholesale)
3. Scroll to the new field: Restricted Payment Options
4. Select the payment methods you want to hide for that group
5. Click Save Customer Group

Once saved, the selected payment methods will no longer appear for customers in that group during checkout or when orders are created via admin or APIs.
