Back to topThe Bulk Product Update Extension for Magento enables mass product update feature from the admin panel. Magento, by default, has only a few options to update products in bulk. The new addition lends a great helping hand to the admin to manage products more effectively.
The extension offers a separate grid for updating products in bulk. It displays a category column in the grid, which is not there in the default Magento. Category filter allows the admin to filter products based on the desired category. The new extension enables the following actions:
- Price update
- Special price update
- Cost update
- Weight update
- Add category
- Remove category
This extension allows an easy way of tackling the desired functions. You can simply select the products to be updated from the grid and then choose the desired action from the mass action list.
To add/remove a category, a category tree structure is displayed next to the Mass Action dropdown from which you can select the desired category option. This feature is a unique one when compared to the other extensions in the Marketplace.
The new extension provides options like increase/decrease/replace for other attributes like price, special price, cost, and weight. For instance: we can increase the price, decrease or replace price. The Extension also allows you to update Price, Special price, Cost by a particular number or percentage of current value. The new Extension supports simple products.
Bulk Product Update extension is a great addition that will empower the admin to handle mass product update from the admin panel.
