    Account & Pricing

    Bread financing requires a separate account. Although Bread's Magento extension is free, a Bread financing partnership may not be. If you would like to offer Bread, please contact us at partners@getbread.com to sign up. Bread is a PCI compliant solution. Using Bread has no effect on a merchant's overall PCI compliance.

     

    Integration Overview

    Bread creates a frictionless experience for customers as they shop. Customers are never redirected offsite; their interaction with Bread's financing occurs on a modal displayed on a retailer's site. Customer data is collected via the modal that is served securely from Bread's servers. This entire process to prequalify and checkout takes less than 60 seconds. Once a customer checks out with Bread, their order information is transferred to the retailer's server. Bread does not transmit sensitive customer data such as birth date and SSN. When Bread's extension is added as a payment option, it allows all authorizations, captures, and refunds to be processed through Magento.

    • Convert more in-store or phone sales by allowing your customers to apply for financing on all channels - online, in-store, or phone. Bread integrates directly into the Magento order list within your admin portal.  
    • Offer more loan products by creating a custom plan that meets their customers’ needs. Bread offer longer terms and up to 18 month true 0% APR products.
    • Increase marketing ROI by embedding financing into any marketing channel, which produces higher click through rates and enhances customer loyalty programs.

     

    Security & PCI Compliance

    When a customer accesses Bread Pay on either the product display page (PDP), cart page, or mini-cart page for a credit pre-qualification check or upon checkout, customers are redirected to www.breadpayments.com via a modal popup.

    For Bread Pay Installments checkout, the customer does not need to enter any payment information. At this point, the customer enters their personal identity information which includes first name, last name, email address, phone number, and—for first-time customers—Social Security Number to check their credit qualification.

    For Bread Pay SplitPay checkout, the customer enters their payment information directly into our secure environment so that the web shop never comes into contact with the customers payment data. Bread Pay is a SAQ A-EP compliant payments integration service for merchants. Once the payment process is complete, customers will be redirected back to the merchant’s store. 

    No customer data is ever entered into, or stored on, the Magento server.
