Dynamic Product Price will intercept all quantity modifications on your page and trigger a call to calculate the total price for this item based on this quantity.
Display the subtotal price will allow your customer to know the total price of a product including the different discounts that may be applied to it. Dynamic Product Price can deal with the tier prices, catalog price rules, and price modified by third-party extensions (if they respect Magento standards).
