AURAS Pay Crypto Payment Gateway

AURAS Pay (https://auraspay.com/) is a non-custodial payment infrastructure for businesses that accept cryptocurrency through direct wallet-to-wallet settlement. Merchants use AURAS Pay to create payment requests, access dashboard and API tools, and receive supported digital assets directly to their connected wallets without AURAS Pay taking custody of customer funds.

The AURAS Pay Crypto Payment Gateway integrates Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source checkout with AURAS Pay. It adds a native payment option, lets customers choose a supported cryptocurrency and compatible blockchain network, creates the payment through the AURAS Pay API, and redirects the customer to a secure hosted checkout. After on-chain payment, a signed webhook and server-side verification update the matching Magento order without relying on the customer returning in the browser.

Account & Pricing

A separate AURAS Pay merchant account is required. The account is not created during extension installation and must be created separately before the merchant configures the API key and webhook secret in Magento Admin.

The Magento extension is free and has no recurring extension subscription. The AURAS Pay service has no monthly, setup, or API fee. A 1% service fee applies only to completed payments.

Security

This integration uses both the AURAS Pay REST API and a hosted redirect. Magento sends the order amount, fiat currency, selected cryptocurrency, network, and order reference to AURAS Pay from the server. The customer is then redirected to the AURAS Pay hosted payment page to review and authorize the cryptocurrency transaction with an external wallet.

No cryptocurrency wallet credentials, private keys, seed phrases, card details, or other payment credentials are entered into the Adobe Commerce or Magento server. The extension does not store customer payment credentials on the Magento server. It stores only the Magento order reference and the AURAS Pay transaction identifiers and status needed for reconciliation.

AURAS Pay is a cryptocurrency-only payment flow and does not collect, process, transmit, or store payment-card data. PCI DSS and a PCI SAQ level therefore do not apply to the AURAS Pay cryptocurrency transaction itself. Merchants remain responsible for their PCI DSS scope and SAQ obligations for any separate card-payment methods enabled on their store.

Payment completion is not trusted from the browser return. The extension validates the signed webhook, retrieves the payment from the AURAS Pay API, verifies the transaction ID, order reference, amount, fiat currency, and completed status, and prevents duplicate processing before updating the Magento order.
