Supermax POS Real-Time Synchronization extension is an add-on of the Supermax point of Sale Module. To use this module you must already have purchased and installed Supermax Point of Sale (POS).

With the help of the Supermax Real-Time Synchronization extension Products stock, price, details, etc will be updated in the pos terminal in real-time whenever any sales in the online store or any change to the product by admin. Pos terminal is updated seamlessly whenever changes happen to the product. The synchronization of data between Magento and POS terminal occurs in real-time. This means that each change made to any item in the Magento database will immediately propagate to the target POS terminal. The syncing occurs in the background so it is invisible to end-users or POS Cashier/user.

To use the real-time sync process POS terminal should be opened in the Google Chrome browser.

 

Important Note

  • Real-time Synchronization is a process which is added to your existing Supermax by installing this extension and you no need to have any separate Supermax.  Some pre-defined processes like products and customers are synced with POS Terminal only. Any specific syncing process other than default features can be done through customization(paid service).
  • POS Terminal is a web-based POS system and requires a web browser to work on it. Google Chrome must be used. 

 

Why you should use a real-time synchronization?

  • The synchronization of data between Magento and POS terminal occurs in real-time. This means that each change made to any item in the Magento database will immediately propagate to the target POS terminal. The syncing occurs in the background so it is invisible to end-users or POS Cashier/user.
  • Synchronization is important because it checks for the differences between two data containers like Magento and POS terminal in order to avoid the unneeded transfer of data that already resides in both data sources. Therefore, synchronization schemes typically update both data sources by transferring only additions, changes, and deletions.

Supermax POS terminal Features

  • POS Cashier / User can enable or disable the synchronization process.
  • A separate pop-up modal is opened when the real-time process is enabled or disabled. 
  • If the real-time process is terminated by any circumstances then the POS terminal enables it automatically.
  • If any product is deleted or created at the admin panel, also POS terminal acts for the same in the POS terminal.
  • If any customer is deleted or created at the admin panel, also the POS terminal acts for the same in the POS terminal.

 

Supermax Admin End Features

  • Admin can set allowed origin from which the POS Terminal can only be allowed to connect for a real-time sync process.
  • Admin can freely update, create, or edit products and doesn't need to notify POS users to make update the terminal. The real-time sync process does it automatically if it's enabled at the POS terminal.
