Back to topThis module gives our customers the ability to use Apple Pay and Google Pay as an express payment method flow. This module is to be used along with the Adyen Payment plugin for Magento 2 and is not a standalone product.

- Apple Pay express checkout options on the product page, mini cart and cart.
- Google Pay express checkout options on the product page, mini cart and cart.
Requirements
This plugin supports
- Magento 2 version 2.4 and higher
- Adyen Payment plugin for Magento 2 v8.8.0 and higher
Configuration Steps
- Add the payment method in your Customer Area.
- Make sure that Payment methods are activated in your Magento configuration.
- In the Magento admin page, go to Accepting Payments > Online Checkout > Express Payments > Show Google Pay on > Select one or all of your desired options.
- For Apple Pay: Use Adyen's Apple Pay Certificate to go live, without designing your Apple Pay integration.
- For Google Pay: Set up Google Pay.

- The plugin now sends shopperConversionId in the /payments and /paymentMethods requests to support Adyen Uplift.
Breaking changes
- This version of the Express Checkout module requires the Adyen Payments plugin for Adobe Commerce v10.0.0 or later, and Adobe Commerce v2.4.8.
Fixed
- When a shopper cancels an express payment that was initiated from a product details page by closing the payment pop-up, their cart is no longer lost.
- For PayPal Express: the module now prevents placing an order if the shopper updates their cart after payment is initiated.
- For Google Pay Express: the module now uses the onSubmit callback to place orders instead of onAuthorised. This allows the module to resolve the actions and mount the 3D Secure 2 component successfully.
Improved
- The developer experience is modernized with support for PHPStan and PHPUnit 10.
- The module now uses the model-based PHP library.
- For PayPal Express: the /payments request now includes lineItems for increased accuracy data and easier reconciliation.
- The plugin now uses Web Components to v6 for Google Pay Express, PayPal Express, and Apple Pay Express.
